Author Spotlight: Sarah J. Maas

Last year, I ended 2013 with Susan Dennard. This year, I'm ending 2014 with her BFF, Sarah J. Maas. Now, if you haven't heard of Sarah, you've clearly been living under a rock. Or you don't read, which is just weird. She is the author of The Assassin's Blade [2014], Throne of Glass [2012], Crown of Midnight [2013], Heir of Fire [2014] and her new, upcoming series, A Court of Thorns and Roses [2015] along with the next addition to the Throne of Glass series (currently untitled). As a huge fan of her Throne of Glass series, I must tell you to add ACOTAR to your TBR list. Actually, preorder it. You won't regret it - it's AMAZING.

Author Spotlight: Katie McGarry

I am so thankful to be able to feature one of my favorite authors on the blog this month. This is the month of giving thanks, right? I am so incredibly grateful to this particular author for making me enjoy YA contemporary and giving this genre a chance when I'm not one of the biggest fans. I am thankful to Jennifer from Harlequin Teen for allowing me to feature one of their best authors here. Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome Katie McGarry to Step Into Fiction for the month of November. Author Spotlight: Jennifer L. Armentrout

I am super stoked to have this particular author featured here for the Author Spotlight this month. It's a great month to have her, too, as she has a book releasing later this month. What book you ask? Stone Cold Touch, which will hit stores on October 21. You've probably guessed the author, right? None other than Jennifer L. Armentrout or if you read her New Adult or Adult stuff, you might know her by J. Lynn. I am so excited to feature super awesome author, M.R. Polish this month for our Author Spotlight. Her Wolf Spell series is amazing, as well as her Ageless Sea Series and her final book in this series, Timeless Tides, has just come out and I seriously can't wait to read it.

I am so excited to feature a up and coming, super awesome author, Heather Marie this month for our Author Spotlight. Her debut novel is titled - The Gateway Through Which They Came. Her debut book is scheduled to come out this August and I seriously can't wait for it (I have my copy though, cannot wait to read it!!).

Author Spotlight: Emmy Laybourne

Welcome to the Author Spotlight, everyone! We're celebrating the month of April showers with Emmy Laybourne; author of Monument 14 [2012], Sky on Fire [2013] and Savage Drift [2014].

I met Emmy randomly at the Fierce Reads tour in NYC this past October and we got to talking and I asked her if she'd be interested in being hosted here and she was really excited about it. I know it's a little later than when we normally have these go live but alas, it's still April!

Author Spotlight: Jeri Smith-Ready

Not only are her books fantastic (and creepy) but she is one of the nicest people to meet in person. Not to mention, she has a killer memory! She might not remember your name but she'll remember you from meeting her a year prior! It's amazing and puts us in awe of her greatness. Welcome to December, everyone! We're celebrating the last month of 2013 with the fantastic Susan Dennard! Author of Something Strange and Deadly [2012], A Dawn Most Wicked [2013], A Darkness Strange and Lovely [2013] and Strange and Ever After [2014]; she is also co-writing an online New Adult book with Sarah J. I was lucky enough to meet Susan and interview her back in June while she was on tour with Sarah J. Maas, Erin Bowman and Kat Zhang for their Young Authors Give Back tour. She made quite an impression on me during the time I got to spend hanging out with them and then afterward, when she reached out to thank me for taking the time to interview them. First time any author has ever thanked me and it was definitely a humbling experience. Not only do I love her books but she's a spectacular person. When we started this feature I knew right away that I wanted to have her and I asked her probably back in July or August. So, I present you, Susan Dennard . . .
