Stacking the Shelves #38

Stacking the Shelves is created & hosted by Tynga's Reviews and is a weekly meme sharing the books you've bought, borrowed or received for review.

I've gotten a variety of books this week! Which is good because I've hopped back on the reading train; I struggled with reading books last month but I'm so happy to be over it!

Clicking the pictures will take you to the books goodreads page!

Thank you Macmillan for Second Star; this book definitely interested me once I saw it because it's a modern-day retelling of Wendy's story with a Peter Pan and Hook love triangle? Sounds interesting! Thank you to Orbit for House of the Rising Sun - I love her House of Comarre series and I can't wait to read this spin-off series! A HUGE thank you to Harlequin Teen for The Forever Song. OMG - it was so good!

A BIG thank you to Disney Hyperion for sending me the awesome box filled with these goodies plus an awesome SUMMER OF CHILLS eye mask & puzzle!

I read Losing It by Cora Carmack and fell in love with these characters. I wanted to read Keeping Her before starting Faking It so I went ahead & bought both that novella and Seeking Her so I'm all set for the whole series! I just saw Elle Cosimano again tonight for one of her book events in the DC area and was able to get a copy of this book EARLY. I'm so excited to read it!

I wouldn't say I won these but I didn't know what other category to put this under. I attended the WHITE HOT KISS dinner release party in NYC and each person received a goodie bag of awesome Harlequin books! So again - thank YOU Harlequin Teen and thank YOU Damaris from Good Choice Reading for putting on such a great event! I had an absolute blast! Let's do it again for STONE COLD TOUCH, huh?

  1. I have Second Star and can't wait to dive into it. I'm jealous of your Disney-Hyperion books. They hardly ever approve me for anything. :( Enjoy the Cora Carmack books! The Finding It series is one of my favorite NA contemporary romance series.

    Happy reading!

    My StS.

  2. Did you star The Forever Song yet? Did you? did you??? LOL! It was amazing. I have Don't Look Back and I'm on the tour for Dark Metropolis (I hope I like it!). I really need to get into those Cora Carmack books, I've heard great things! And I got the same books in my bag at the NYC dinner! LOL! Can't wait to hear what you think of the Kagawa book. My review goes up on the 21st! My STS: http://www.thecovercontessa.com/2014/03/stacking-shelves-11.html

  3. Ooo, yay for lots of books! I also have Second Star, Dark Metropolis, Don't Look Back, and Far From You for review. Well actually, I already reviewed Far From You, but same difference. I sort of liked Keeping Her, but overall, I think the series declined in quality after the first book. I LOVED Pawn and Through the Zombie Glass! I cannot wait to read Captive and The Queen of Zombie Hearts (although I'm not a huge fan of the cover of the latter). I haven't read any of Kagawa's books, but I can tell how excited everyone is about The Forever Song! Hope you enjoy all of your lovelies, Jessica :)

    Have a fabulous weekend!

    Check out my STS post!

I'm kind of excited for the Break Up Artist, I've heard some good things about it!
