This tour of fun is co-hosted by Fiktshun, A Life Bound by Books, Confessioins of a Bookaholic, Two Chicks on Books, & Magical Urban Fantasy Reads.
It's the last day of this fun Top 10 tour and I'm sad about it. Though it's been a very hectic week for me, as this week always is, I've enjoyed taking part in this. I will be catching up on comments and other blogs later today, too, as I haven't had much computer time!
But as today is the final day, I bring you books I am looking forward to in 2014 (in no particular order). I will include ones I haven't already read - to be fair, since it's what I'm looking forward to! And since narrowing it down to 10 is impossible I put 13 on my list & half of them don't have covers (or even titles) yet...
Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
I cannot wait for this book. Unravel Me completely undid me. These books are so addicting (and I get the writing style isn't for everyone) but these books are fantastic. I'm totally on Team Warner . . .
Sisters' Fate by Jessica Spotswood
With the way Star Cursed ended, I am DYING for this book! It's release can not come soon enough - I really need to know what happens.
Strange and Ever After by Susan Dennard
We're going to Egypt and I can't wait to make the journey in 2014. Seriously. Especially with the ones we're traveling with. It's going to be a fantastic time and July can not come soon enough!
The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
Every one of my blogger friends have been RAVING about this book, I have a copy sitting on my shelves that will get read VERY soon and I can't wait. I haven't heard one person say they didn't like this book and it makes me giddy thinking about it.
Her Dark Curiosity by Megan Shepherd
Megan has been on every one of my lists (except covers) and I think I'm going to have her book be the first read of 2014, too. Keep this tradition going, right?
Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi
I may get to this book before 2013 ends but since I haven't read it at the time of this list, it's going up there. While I thought Under the Never Sky was good, Through the Ever Night totally blew it out of the water. If these books keep getting better, I can't imagine how epic Into the Still Blue will be! I need me more ROAR!
Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater
While I may not be the biggest fan of her Wolves of Mercy Falls series, I'm a die-hard obsessed fan of Cole St. Clair. To hear he's getting his own book, I did dance around the room with excitement.
This book doesn't even have a title or description yet but I don't care. I need it NOW! I'm obsessed with this series, with these characters and I just need to feed my addiction like . . . yesterday!
Mortal Heart by Robin LaFevers
Again, another series I'm obsessed and I can't wait for this book. I can't wait for the cover, actually. But more importantly, it's what's inside of the covers that really matter!
Talon by Julie Kagawa
Julie could write just about anything and I'm going to read it. But a series about dragons, written by her (who loves dragons) - it's something I'm highly anticipating for 2014.
Mortal by Sarah J. Maas
Sarah's got a new series coming out and I can't wait to get my greedy little hands on it. If I'm not mistaken, it's a Beauty & the Beast retelling so that should be really awesome. Regardless, it's Sarah, so it's going to be awesome.
Take Me On by Katie McGarry
I love Katie's Pushing the Limits series and seriously, she can just keep writing books with these characters and I'd be completely satisfied. I never want them to end. My favorite contemporary series, hands down, and an author whose helping me read more contemporary than I used to.
I need to find out what happens with the way Endless Knight ended. I need more Death. I need more Jack. I need more of everything these books have to offer. October, you are too far away.
We have a few in common :D Ignite Me is at the top of my list too of course. So excited for it, and I'm Team Warner too (Y)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Sinner either. I really liked the Mercy Falls series, and I adore Cole. Into the Still Blue is amazing! A great end to the series :)
Love your picks!
My list :)
Great list. I'm dying to read many of the same ones as you. Already read Into the Still Blue. It's fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was supposed to be reading it now but another book took longer than I was expecting (and I was busier than I thought) so now it might not get read it until next week but I can't wait! I've heard it's the best of the series and that makes me so excited.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I'm super excited for The Winner's Curse too! I didn't know Sarah J Maas has a new series coming out! That's super exciting. I love the cover of Into the Blue, I've bought the first two in the series, and hopefully I can read it soon haha. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Top Ten anticipated books at Bookmunchies (:
Ooo, The Winner's Curse YAY! I know you got that one, Jess, so READ IT! So much love for that one. I'm reading Into the Still Blue next - I have high hopes for that one! And I just LOVE the cover of Strange and Ever After! :D
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend!
Check out my Top Ten post!
The Winner's Curse! Ah, I want that one so bad. Lucky you!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I'll be getting to the Winner's Curse in January. I'm trying to tackle a few I already had on my TBR pile first (look at me, being responsible and shit lol). I can't wait to read Into the Still Blue. It took some major restraint from me not to read it as soon as I got approved LOL
ReplyDeleteThe cover for Strange and Ever After is amazing. Definitely the best cover of the trilogy!
Thanks for stopping by, as always, Alyssa! I'm working my way over to your blog (I've had very little computer time this week :( )
I know! I've heard so many fantastic things about it. I really can't wait for it!
ReplyDeleteSome books I have never heard of. Will have to investigate!
ReplyDeleteTournament: Most anticipated book of 2014? – Nominations
Mercy Falls was okay but Cole was definitely my favorite part of that series so I will fangirl while reading it. Ignite Me is going to be epic and I can't wait to experience the journey! I've heard that from many people about Into the Still Blue - I feel like I should push it up to my next read...
