You're probably sitting there, confused. Yes, Step Into Fiction hasn't been around for a year but before we moved to Blogger we were Fictional Distraction and we started there on September 19, 2011. So us, as a group, have been blogging for one year and we want to celebrate with you. We hope you'll join us!
Fictional Distraction started out with just Sana and myself. It was supposed to be with another friend of ours but she was too busy with her job and so we decided to move on and start the blog anyway. (We left it open to where if she ever wants to review with us, she's more than welcome) Not too long after that I met Saleana through twitter thanks to an amazing character named Robin "Puck" Goodfellow. We have Julie Kagawa to thank for that ;) From there, we became friends and I brought her on board. My friend Ashley, who I've known for a few years thanks to a little book series/movie franchise called Twilight (we both ran fansites for members of the wolfpack, I ran Kiowa Gordon Online (Embry Call) and she ran Chaske Spencer Online (Sam Uley)). She was reviewing with another girl but things didn't work out and I told her she could join us. It's been the four of us for a very long time. Ashley reviews a lot of indie/self published books and I just review a lot of books; in general. I read too much and it's just such a joy for me. Recently, I brought my friend Krystol on board all the way from New Zealand (I met her through Twilight websites, as well...she ran a wolfpack site too lol). I have to say, I am completely happy and excited to have such great friends blogging along side me.
I've met so many amazing authors over the past year since I actively attend author signings and events but also through twitter, which is the greatest piece of social media, I think. I've met some fantastic book bloggers through our site as well and also from author events, BEA, etc. This book blogging world is one I am very happy to be a part of and one I don't plan on leaving for a very long.
