The Iron Prince—my nephew—betrayed us all.Excuse me for a moment while I go cry in the corner. This series is coming to an end which means my man will no longer be making appearances in my life (unless I re-read the books, obviously). I am going to miss Robin "PUCK" Goodfellow so much. You don't understand my love for this character. I have read a ton of books and he has remained my number one book boyfriend in the YA category (and frankly, probably overall). No one has taken that spot away from him and trust me, there are some who have gotten close. It's like he's breaking up with me. That's what this end feels like. We had a good ride, he and I, but he's deciding it's for the best that we remember our good times together and go try new things (aka, he wants to see new people). Go ahead and laugh at me but don't tell me you haven't had the same feeling when a series YOU loved came to an end.
He killed me.
Then, I woke up.
Waking after a month on the brink of death, Ethan Chase is stunned to learn that the Veil that conceals the fey from human sight was temporarily torn away. Although humankind's glimpse of the world of Faery lasted just a brief moment, the human world has been cast into chaos, and the emotion and glamour produced by fear and wonder has renewed the tremendous power of the Forgotten Queen. Now, she is at the forefront of an uprising against the courts of Summer and Winter—a reckoning that will have cataclysmic effects on the Nevernever.
Leading the Lady's Forgotten Army is Keirran himself: Ethan's nephew, and the traitor son of the Iron Queen, Meghan Chase. To stop Keirran, Ethan must disobey his sister once again as he and his girlfriend, Kenzie, search for answers long forgotten. In the face of unprecedented evil and unfathomable power, Ethan's enemies must become his allies, and the world of the fey will be changed forevermore.
It's not just Puck I'll miss . . . okay, that's really a lie. I mean, I'll miss these other characters, I guess. What are their names again? Only kidding. Or am I? But seriously. The original characters are the ones I've grown the fondest of, even Ash, believe it or not. I've always liked him and I've always liked him for Meghan (shocking, right?). But it's really everyone. Grimalkin. Ethan. Keirran. To name a few.
My love for Julie Kagawa began in 2011 - maybe a little later than some of you but I was so excited to hop on board this awesome train. I fell in love with the first three Iron Fey books and was chomping at the bits just WAITING for the fourth to drop. At the time, I thought that was the final book so it's been an absolute gift to get a whole other series in this world. I thank you Julie, for allowing me to be a part of this amazing tour but more importantly, for bringing us in to Nevernever with her and letting each and every one of us experience this journey with her and the characters. I don't know about you but when I read these books, I feel like I'm right there in the story with them not someone looking in to their world.
Now that I've rambled about my love for these books (and Puck), let's get to the good part. If you stopped by Page Turner's Blog last week, you'll have gotten the first opportunity to win a chibi gremlin (razor) and a signed copy of Talon and the Lose Prince!
a Rafflecopter giveaway
Don't forget to follow the rest of the tour for more chances to win! Most importantly, you MUST stop by Julie's blog for the final week for an awesome BIG prize. Trust me, you DON'T want to miss this.
