Three Year Blogiversary Celebration

Today we are celebrating us blogging for THREE years. It's crazy to think we've been doing this for three years. It feels like just yesterday when Sana and I were talking about doing this. We loved books, had for some time and we wanted to do something to help people out choosing books so we decided on opening a review blog. We originally opened over at wordpress and under a different name on September 19, 2011 but in May of 2012 we switched our name and move to blogspot. We're much happier since having done that.

We got Ashley on board with us and we were all set. We all read different types of books so we really don't have to worry about arguing over books often and it just works with us. I am happy I have these two working with me and I truly wouldn't have it any other way. We also recently got our other friend, who moved back to England last year, on board to do some part-time reviewing. The four of us are just perfection together and I wouldn't want to continue this journey with anyone else.

This year has probably been my most exciting year blogging, personally. I've been able to work most closely with some really amazing publishers, which has been an absolute blessing and I truly appreciate them all. Huge shout out to Macmillan, Bloomsbury, Harlequin Teen and Harper Teen for being so awesome. Those are probably the publishers we've been known to work with the most but I also appreciate Scholastic and Disney for having worked with us and hopefully continue to do so in the future.

I have met some truly amazing friends in the past year, too and most of which are fellow bloggers. I'm lucky to live in an area where there's such an amazing group for fans of books out there. I'm sure you've heard of YADC but if not, we're a group of authors, librarians, booksellers, bloggers and readers in the DC metro area. We make sure together at signings and hanging out as much as possible. It has been one of the greatest things that's happened because these are certainly the best group of gals ever. So huge shout out to Hannah from The Irish Banana Review, Jen from Jenuine Cupcakes, Andye from Reading Teen, Stephanie from No BS Book Review, Steph from Cuddlebuggery, Malissa from Reads All The Books, Liza from Reading With ABC, Jennifer from Book Shelfery & so many others!

But most of all, the people we want to thank and appreciate most of all are those who keep coming back, commenting on reviews, talking to us on twitter, entering our giveaways or, if you're shy like me, just looking at our reviews but hesitant to comment. Please, feel free to comment on anything, we love to talk books and we encourage it. But we want to spread our gratitude and thanks to you and while it's impossible to give each of you something, we're giving three of you the chance to take home a $30 gift card to either Barnes & Noble or Amazon (or another bookseller of your choice IF we're able to do online gift cards). This giveaway IS international so we encourage y'all to enter.

Giveaway is international and ends at 11:59 PM EST on October 2, 2014. Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor! We love and appreciate you all! <3

Hmmmm... So many choices. Depending on what's most imperative to own at the time I might receive the gift card. It might be the fourth book in the Outlander series or The Vault of Dreamers or Storm Siren or Retribution of Mara Dyer. So many choices.... It's like I can't own enough books. My bank account screams at me sometimes lol.

Congratulations for hanging in there for three years! =D The most interesting part of your story, at least for me, is that you moved from Wordpress to Blogger and are very happy that you did. It's the opposite that's usually the case, aye? I hope it's okay to be a bit nosy now and ask what needs of yours Wordpress didn't meet that Blogger does? =)

When I win a gift card from a book blog, I like to spend a bit of it on what the blogger is promoting. So I'll probably buy something by one of your spotlighted authors. Thanks for this chance! =)
