Blog Tour: Dead Girl Walking by Ruth Silver Review

Dead Gil Walking by Ruth Silver
(Royal Reaper, #1)
Release Date: April 25, 2014
Publisher: Patchwork Press; 113 pages
Rating:

Princess Ophelia Dacre sneaks out of the castle to visit her boyfriend in secret. A perfect night cut short when she’s brutally murdered.

Ophelia is given the rare chance to become a grim reaper. She must become Leila Bele, cut ties with her old life, and follow the rules of the reapers. Her greatest adventure begins with death.

I really love anything that Ruth Silver has written, so when I saw a review opportunity for this blog tour, i snatched it up. I love all things paranormal and this book is just right up my alley.

This story was fast right off the bat and has action and adventure right away and keeps you enthralled throughout the whole book and grabs you right away. I do have to say I did not expect things to happen as fast as they did, but it really helps give the story time to play out more. I think even more could have been written about Ophelia's life prior to her demise. But either way, that part happens to soon and so fast it really makes you just want to keep reading and see what happens.

A lot of this book, and characters took my off guard, but in a good way. They didn't do exactly what I thought they would do, ad that is what makes a writer a good writer. If you can predict what happens next, it's not very original is it? Ruth is an exceptional author, and I always am so excited to read anything new from her. And I cannot wait for book 2 of the Royal Reaper series!
