FIERCE READS with YA authors Leigh Bardugo (Ruin & Rising), Ava Dellaira (Love Letters to the Dead), Emmy Laybourne (Monument 14: Savage Drift), and Jennifer Mathieu (The Truth About Alice)!
On Sunday, June 22nd, I had the privilege of doing an author interview for the Fierce Reads Tour that was stopping by St. Paul's Red Balloon Bookshop.
I arrived as they were setting up and was shown the top of the bookshop (honestly, didn't know there was an upstairs, lol) Got all my stuff set up and taken care of, then the authors arrived. I had previously tweeted with Jennifer Mathieu so I knew to look for her, she was A LOT taller then I had thought. We were all introduced and we went upstairs to get settled for the interview. These ladies are just fabulous. Right away when meeting them I felt welcomed and accepted and they were nothing but gracious and humble.
I had mentioned to Emmy that we had recently featured her on our blog for our monthly Author Spotlight and she couldn't expresses enough how grateful she was for us doing that. These ar the authors you want to support. They are so grateful for everything.
So once we all settled down, we started the interview. Below is the link to the interview.
(I did my best to edit, we did ramble a bit, but I left that in there because it really helps you get to know these wonderful authors better)
After the interview, it was time for the ladies to take the "stage" and do their thing.

The even started out with each of the authors introducing themselves and introducing their books. I'm ashamed to say, but I didn't know their books, and I know Jessica and Sana had previously read a few, so I was excited to hear about them. And let me tell you, buy listening to an author describe their books, is an amazing experience, these ladies are so passionate bout their books and makes you want to read everything they write. These books are all on my TBR list, their passion is inspiring.
