I love accents. I really do. Not only do I find them extremely sexy when spoken by the opposite sex, I also find them amusing in general. I'll never forget a few years ago, a friend of mine recorded a video of one of our British friends just saying random words. It seriously was laugh out loud funny, in fact I am laughing right now just thinking about that video. But my point is an accent without most people even realizing it usually gives someone a one up. Sound is a very important sense, and it definitely heightens attraction. So of course I immediately fell for Ansel. I kept my phone nearby while reading, so I could immediately look up translations when he spoke French. Some were just so sexy, that I would read them multiple times.
The story starts off with three friends who have just graduated college. They decide to go on last trip before entering the professional world. And of course what better place to say goodbye to your college years than Las Vegas! Las Vegas the home of sin and debauchery. Our main protagonist is Mia. She and her friends Harlow and Lola meet three extremely handsome guys, and each have a night that they will never forget.
Mia is a great main character. She's easy to relate to, and has a very interesting back story. She also deals with real life issues such as parental problems and deciding what to do with her life. Now her and Ansel's relationship is not easy. They both suffer the consequences of their impulsive actions. I loved how it wasn't easy for them. The beginnings of their relationship is filled with many awkward and embarrassing moments. Including a particularly awkward sex scene, that I actually found to be quite humorous.
This is the first Christina Lauren book that I've read that didn't have a dual point of view. The story is strictly Mia's. So it was interesting to read the flow of this. I rather liked not having Ansel's point of view. In fact, as you read you'll find out why it makes sense for Ansel to not have a point of view because the climax of the story probably wouldn't have had the big impact that it did. My jaw actually dropped when I read it, because I really didn't see it coming. I love when authors are able to surprise me. Not going to lie though, I am usually pretty gullible. A lot of times things that are obvious to most go directly over my head. But I think that many will be surprised by this.
If you're a fan of Christina Lauren, this book will not disappoint. It is classic writing from this duo that includes smoking hot sex scenes and swoon worthy guys. People will definitely be talking about the Wild Seasons series just as much or even more than the Beautiful series!

I read their first book in the other series and I did like it but I didn't love it. Maybe I should give this a chance to impress me. I do like just a plain good romance story with a bit of dirty parts thrown in to add some spice. Plus I do have a thing for accents as well :)
