A bombshell bookworm. A chronic Casanova. And a lesson in chemistry too scandalous for school.

When Hanna Bergstrom receives a lecture from her overprotective brother about neglecting her social life and burying herself in grad school, she’s determined to tackle his implied assignment: get out, make friends, start dating. And who better to turn her into the sultry siren every man wants than her brother’s gorgeous best friend, Will Sumner, venture capitalist and unapologetic playboy?

Will takes risks for a living, but he’s skeptical about this challenge of Hanna’s…until the wild night his innocently seductive pupil tempts him into bed- and teaches him a thing or two about being with a woman he can’t forget. Now that Hanna’s discovered the power of her own sex appeal, it’s up to Will to prove he’s the only man she’ll ever need.

Warning this is an adult book with adult themes.  This series is not recommended for anyone under the age of eighteen.

*Whimpers*

That is the sound of me realizing that I am running out of Christina Lauren books to read.  After having all of their released books for so long, I finally buckled down and decided I need to get busy and finish up this series.  I think the reason I waited so long to finally finish them is because I just didn't want it to end.  Also I was initially weary of reading books that didn't center around Chloe and Bennett.  But alas Beautiful Stranger taught me that it wasn't just the allure of Bennett I had fallen for.  It's the way these ladies write strong and swoon-worthy men.  I was anxious to get to Will's story.  Because in previous books he had been described as what the title says, a player.

Beautiful Player starts out with Hanna.  A grad student, who is pretty much glued to her books and school work.  After a visit from her father and brother, who both hound her about her not going out much and enjoying life outside of school, she decides to give her brother's best friend Will a call.  Now I am not gonna lie, I was a bit weary with how this started.  My immediate thought was, "I really hope Will doesn't ruin this poor girl.  She's gonna get her heart trampled."  But Hanna surprised me.  She's not the stereotypical bookworm.  This girl has pretty much no filter and does what she wants.  I think many people can relate to Hanna.  She got so sidetracked by work, that she forgot she wasn't living her life.  But let me tell you once she realized this, a strong woman was released.

Now unlike Bennett and Chloe, and Max and Sara.  As a reader we aren't immediately given a sex scene between Hanna and Will.  After about 50 pages, I was wondering when they were gonna have sex.  We've been so spoiled by Christina Lauren giving us amazingly juicy scenes early on in previous books.  But they made us work for it this time.  And boy did it pay off!  Will and Hanna are smokin' together!  Watching their relationship go from friends with benefits to something more was fun to watch.  Especially Will.  Will finally found someone that could tame him.

But of course Beautiful Player dropped hints to things to come in Beautiful Beginning.  Something was revealed that made me squeal with joy!  I was so happy for these characters.  I am so invested in all of them.  It was recently revealed that the Beautiful series will be continuing after all!  And I couldn't be more excited.  I don't have to say goodbye to them just yet!
