Today's post is all about the pretty covers released in 2013. This is going to be hard because there are so many beautiful covers (some I don't even own). But alas, I put what is my Top Ten at this moment - if you asked me tomorrow, I'm sure it'd be different.
Without further ado - feast your eyes on these pretties! (These are in no particular order cause that's just too hard)
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
I mean, how can you not love this cover? It's so perfect (to the story) and just so breathtaking to look at. It's a perfect cover and I bow down to the cover designers for this one.
Goddess by Josephine Angelini
I haven't read this series yet but I love these covers, especially the final book here. It's just so beautiful (and even better in person).
Scorched by Mari Mancusi
I never finished this book (sad stuff, I know, but I just couldn't) but the cover is just awesome. I mean, look at it - dragons, bright colors and a pretty fierce heroine.
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
I really love these new covers (though I'm not a fan of mid-series cover changes but it's something I need to get used to since it happens far too often) - they showcase Celaena, perfectly.
Crash Into You by Katie McGarry
While I might've liked Dare You To a smidge bit more than Crash Into You, it's this covers that really got me excited. I mean, this cover is SO fitting for the book. After you finish the book, you see this and go - YES! Even before I read it I had that reaction.
The End Games by T. Michael Martin
This cover is creepy and fantastic. It's what drew me to the book in the first place and I'm glad it did because I enjoyed this book.
The Ward by Jordana Frankel
Not that I enjoyed this book as much as I was hoping but this cover is just all sorts of epic. It definitely made me want to read the book - which is a big part of a covers job.
MILA 2.0 by Debra Driza
Do you see how awesome this cover is?! I mean, the way they have her coming apart and ugh - it's just so awesome and it's the reason I looked in to this book.
Hysteria by Megan Miranda
I'm going to be honest, I'm a bigger fan of the UK version of this cover but regardless - this cover is awesome. Both covers show mystery, which is a huge factor in this book but they're both creepy, in their own ways. (I also should mention I like the paperback cover, as well - for the US)
Splintered by A.G. Howard
I love this cover. It just shows the curious world of Alice in Wonderland without going overboard, you know? And the font is just perfect - everything about this cover screams awesome to me!
Ohhh, I love the Goddess cover! The colors are absolutely stunning!

I love the new Throne of Glass covers as well, I think they showcase the story a lot better than the old one. Although I'm not a fan of mid-series cover changes either, I hate when you have an entire series but the first cover doesn't match the rest!
ReplyDeleteSplintered and These Broken Stars - they have been on just about every single post I have visited so far! I love the cover of These Broken Stars, and Splintered's cover is pretty great too. I have Splintered, but have not read it yet. Goddess's cover is so beautiful! I'm very partial to the purple :D
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays!
Check out my Top Ten post!

Splintered <3 <3 <3 I think we already know how I feel about that one. Goddess's cover is SO PRETTY though! I love the mix of purple and blue. The colors are so soft and relaxing.
ReplyDeleteThey really are. Even better in person, too!
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree. I feel like they are better suited for the series but ugh, now my covers don't match. Though, thankfully, Bloomsbury at least kept the spines the same so they match on my shelf!
ReplyDeleteThese Broken Stars deserve to be on just about every list. It's too pretty of a cover not to be! Splintered is just really interesting (I love Unhinged by that's a 2014 release so I couldn't include it lol).
