I am a fan of Magan’s after having read How to Break Up With an Alien; I thought that was such a cute and fun book! (I’m tackling the second book, How to Break Up With an Alien next month) My Paper Heart was cute, as well but the two main characters, especially Libby bugged me to no end. I just found no way to connect with her and as her being our main character which really is a shame.

I found the first two run in’s or so with Blaine were hard to understand, too. He’s overly protective of her imagine but yet he’s never met her…it really didn’t make any sense. Once you get passed those, though…things become a bit more normal. Plus, maybe this is just me but for her having only slept with one guy her entire life, she sure is very sex crazed and very demanding about wanting it. I guess I have a hard time understanding this with my personality being so different from hers but yeah…

The story was cute. The whole growing up aspect of it was nice. I hated who she was when she came down to Louisiana but I like who she ended up as. It hurts to even think there are people like her Chicago crowd but I know there are plenty of people out there like them. It really hurts to think there are such ridiculous acting people and they think it’s cute. Mind boggling, I tell you…

Overall, it was a bit of a bumpy ride regarding the main character and her love interest. A lot of whip lash between their personality changes and moods…but overall, it was a cute, easy read. (A very sex crazed read – so this is not recommended for young teens) I definitely prefer her Alien Romance book to this one but to each their own!
