This book was very interesting. The author put her own spin on some very famous angels but she did it where it worked. The main character, Angela Mathers, is extremely bad ass. Hair as red as fire and piercing blue eyes – she certainly is a firecracker. But she’s not annoying, which I’m thankful for. Angela could’ve easily been annoying with her personality but no, the author makes sure that doesn’t happen. Angela is someone I would want to be friends with, someone I would want to have in my corner. She’s out of her mind, a little, but honestly – who isn’t?
You’ve got Angels Israfel, Lucifel and Raziel – Raziel being dead but not gone. You’ve got the good, the bad and those in between.
It’s not the best angel book I’ve read but it’s definitely not bad. It grabbed my attention and it kept my attention all the way through the end. It’s made crave more and I’m anticipating what else there is to come. Not to mention, I’m dying to find out more about Kim – I’m not sure where he stands exactly. He’s one of the ‘in betweens’ I was talking about but I love the relationship between he and Angela, I want to see more. I also love the relationship or rather, connection between Israfel and Angela.
ARCHON is definitely one I would recommend to my friends who enjoy angel books. If you’re a fan of angels, fallen angels or anything of that sort, I recommend picking up a copy of this book.
