Winter's Passage by Julie Kagawa
(The Iron Fey, #1.5)
Release Date: May 20, 2010
Publisher: Harlequin Teen; 59 pages
This is a novella that takes place between THE IRON KING and THE IRON DAUGHTER. It’s short, its sweet, it’s enough to satisfy your cravings until the next book, especially if you’re Team Ash. This journey starts out by Meghan wanting to visit Puck, to make sure he is OK (if you have no idea what I’m talking about I’d advise you back away from the computer and go read The Iron King. . .), which is cute. But really, this journey is about Meghan, Ash and their love that is painfully forbidden. Meghan is making good on her promise to Ash, even though neither of them want this; when you make a promise in Nevernever you never go back on it. But on their journey, they have a hunter closing in on them.
The more I get of this world, the happier I am, so even if it IS a short story for those in love with Ash, like Meghan is, I’ll take it. It’s cute and if you’re reading this series do NOT forget to check the novella’s that go in between the stories (they’re only available as an ebook).

Goodreads Summary: Meghan Chase used to be an ordinary girl...until she discovered that she is really a faery princess. After escaping from the clutches of the deadly Iron fey, Meghan must follow through on her promise to return to the equally dangerous Winter Court with her forbidden love, Prince Ash. But first, Meghan has one request: that they visit Puck--Meghan's best friend and servant of her father, King Oberon--who was gravely injured defending Meghan from the Iron Fey.
Yet Meghan and Ash's detour does not go unnoticed. They have caught the attention of an ancient, powerful hunter--a foe that even Ash may not be able to defeat....
