He rejected her, but I'll make sure no one touches her.
Kira’s life shattered when her mate rejected her—at their wedding, no less. Humiliated, heartbroken, and determined to reclaim her dignity, she enters The Reject Project, a brutal reality show where rejected mates battle for a second chance at love. It’s dangerous, filled with broken hearts, desperate mates, and cutthroat competition.
The look on her face when she realized I was one of the eligible bachelors? Priceless.
As her brother’s best friend, I’ve protected Kira from the shadows for years. She thinks I’m just here to make things worse, but she has no idea how far I’ll go to keep her safe. My wolf is ready to claim her, but this game has more enemies than either of us anticipated.
When the cameras stop rolling and the claws come out, I’ll prove that I’m the one who was always meant to stand by her side. Even if she still hates me.
This time, I’m playing for keeps—and I’m not letting her go.
I'm going to be honest, when I first started reading this I didn't realize it was the entire series in one and I had the shock of my life when I saw the page count. I think my eyes popped out of my head but once I looked it up, I realize it was the entire trilogy in one book and I felt a lot better about it. Could you imagine reading a first book in a series that was just under 1,400 pages? I mean, I know most of us booknerds wouldn't mind but still - it's intimidating. This might be why I don't read a lot of 'the whole series in one book' type books. But honestly, this might be one of the few negative things I have about this book series, it was fantastic.
Anyway that knows me knows that I am a SUCKER for werewolf books. The whole fated mate aspect is always fascinating and appealing to me. I mean, I know there's the chance of a rejection but just imagine a world where you can instantly know when you're meant to be with someone. It would make dating a lot easier, wouldn't you think?
I love that this book is like a combination of these reality dating shows like the bachelor/bachelorette and like the Hunger Games had a love child. It was violent, it was filled with romance and spice and filled with strong, amazing characters. Especially Kira. I love reading a book where the FMC is strong, independent and doesn't need to rely on anyone else to get by.
I love the fact that this book isn't just werewolves; we have different species thrown in like vampire, fae, angels, demons, ghosts, other shifters and so much more. It makes the world and the story even more exciting, especially on the Bloodstone Island, during the filming of the show (which occurs for most of the story).
This story had a fantastic MMC. One who is also very strong, on their own and independent but also fiercely protective (sometimes over protective) of the people he cares about.
All the characters made the story; the villains and the supporting characters. I just have so many feels for this book and I don't think I can recommend it enough. There was one thing that really bothered me so be prepared for a spoiler *highlight to view spoiler* I don't understand how they didn't realize they were fated until the moment they decided to mate. Like it was glaringly obviously for like nearly two books, well maybe like one and a half, at least. That scene where she was almost drugged; she took that really small sip and he reacted way more protective than any of the other alphas should've been the final straw for them realizing it but they didn't. I don't know, maybe it was only made to obvious for us, the readers but I became so frustrated for them for NOT realizing it sooner. I am glad they at least gave up on fighting this thing between them; I was really afraid. *end spoilers*
I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a good fantasy/supernatural series, especially a wolf series. I had never heard of it and I think I got it during a stuff your kindle day and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
