Join forces with a parallel universe.

Dark forces, magical creatures, and the world Lil thought she knew collide when a dream transports her to the strange world of Orenda. Stunned and terrified, Lil comes face to face with her doppelganger, Willow, who possesses the ability to travel between the two worlds. Everything Lil knows logically says that Orenda can’t exist, but a small clue may be proof that it was more than an ordinary dream. With the threat of her sister in danger, Lil crosses dimensions but it may cost her even more than she bargained for. A sword wielding girl, the eternal suit, and a parallel universe come together in this action- packed Young Adult fantasy adventure that will keep readers of all ages turning the pages. Orenda is the first novel in the Orenda series.

I do not want to start of with negative stuff, but I might as well get it out of the way. I'm alwyas excited to read anything by Ruth Silver, I was a bit disappointed by this book sadly. It didn't grab me right away like her books usually do, and I had to make myself read through it, sadly, but the ending is where it got some emotion and excitement out of me. Its hard for me to to even type this and say this because I simply adore Ruth Silver, but I am happy that it did, for me, finally pick up at the end,

The story is about 2 separate worlds, which Lil dreams about but then stumbles upon and finds herself stuck in the world she dreamt about, Orenda. Where there are the same people, except her sister is not a girl in this word, she is a boy, and things are a LOT more different then the world that she knows.

I am not quite sure how to feel about Bray. I really think he loves Lil, although she doesn't feel the same, but I feel like he is hiding something. He seems to be pretty aloof once he gets back to his world and it just seems like he was written off and that his character wasn't needed anymore.

Once everyone, including the people from Orenda come back to Lil's world to gather things they need, that is when things start to pick up for me. It was good for the fact that it makes you excited for the next book in the series.
