In a desperate attempt to escape execution, Sunny O’Donnell and Jack Kenner find a way out of the Pit and into a world still believed to be toxic with radiation. Under the brilliant sun for the first time in their lives, they not only discover that the earth has healed from nuclear war, but there are people outside the Dome.
In Worlds Collide, the second book of the Sunset Rising trilogy, Sunny and Jack must continue a life of subterfuge in order to stay alive and find a way to free the Pit. But in their attempt to save the urchins, they uncover the horrifying truth about President Holt and the evil he could unleash on the world.
I was VERY excited when I knew this book was going to come out. I absolutely loved the first book and could not wait for the second to come out. The cliffhanger is book one was killer, but it made me remember the book and story. So once I started Worlds Collide, I remembered everything.
As I said, book two starts off right where book one left off. Where the two main characters, Sunset and Jack, head once they are "free" is not what I had expected, but oh man was it amazing. I could not put this book down. I was constantly thinking about it and what was going to happen with these two. As we et further into the book, and Holt's "master plan" it made me sick, because it could totally happen, and the twist with the Aryan race was brilliant! That's why it made me sick, because a madman with those ideals is someone we never want to happen again.
Reading through everyone's journey as they are embarking on this new and scary adventure was just awesome. This book was a wild and bumpy ride and I loved every second of it! So cannot wait until book 3!
This is a must read series for any Dystopian lover!!!
