Lux: Beginnings:
Obsidian
There's an alien next door. And with his looming height and eerie green eyes, he's hot...until he opens his mouth. He's infuriating. Arrogant. Stabworthy. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, he lights me up with a big fat bullseye. Turns out he has a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal his abilities and the only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until my alien mojo fades. If I don’t kill him first, that is.
Onyx
Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro alien connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened tohis brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?
Lux: Consequences:
Opal
After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing alien hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.
Origin
Daemon will do anything to get Katy back. After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?
Opposition
Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came. She can’t believe Daemon stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred. Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.
Shadows
The last thing Dawson Black expected was Bethany Williams. To him, human girls are…well, fun. But since the Luxen have to keep their true identities a secret, falling for one would be insane. Dangerous. Bethany can’t deny the immediate connection between her and Dawson. And even though boys aren’t a complication she wants, whenever they lock eyes, she’s drawn in. Captivated. Dawson can’t stop risking everything for one human girl. Or stop a fate that is as unavoidable as love itself.
You're probably wondering what this is all about. You probably have already heard of these books and if you're like me, you're eagerly awaiting for August 5 to show it's face because you need the conclusion to this series like you need oxygen. I get it, believe me, I truly get it. Remember to breathe because we don't want you to miss this.
How would you like to possibly win a signed copy of Opposition? What if I told you, all you had to do was answer one tiny, simple question to be answered? Would you do it? I bet you would so now, how about we ask that question. I'll even help you out and give you my answer.
Q: What do you like most about the Lux series? (Simple, see, I told you)
A: You know most people's answer will be Daemon and while I agree, to a point, he's not the reason. Not the main reason, really. I first picked up the books because it was aliens. I love reading about aliens and really, they're not usually done all that great. This series is certainly the exception. That's what drew it to me the book but what kept me coming back book after book was the banter. Yes, the banter between Daemon and Katy. I love their relationship just like everyone else but in the early books, the banter back and forth was just epic. It had me laughing many times and it made me fall even harder for these characters. The banter is still there, not like it was but it doesn't matter because Jennifer has already made me fall in love with everyone that I don't miss it. And, I'm seriously going to get some glares about this but I actually prefer Dawson over Daemon, anyway. I read Shadows and that was all I need to fall for him. Since then, those feelings haven't gone away.
Now, see, I've answered the question, it's your turn. What makes you such a fan of this series? Comment on this post before the end of this tour to be entered to win.

I haven't read the series but I have read a lot of good things about Kat and Daemon and would love to see what happens between them!! Thanks for the giveaway!! :)
ReplyDeleteDaemon is of course reason number one for me. But equally important to me is that it reminds so much of the old TV show Roswell. I really, really loved that show and was so upset when it was cancelled so when I first read the blurb for Obsidian my heart practically skipped a beat because all I could think of was how much I missed Roswell and how this could totally make up for my show no longer being on TV :). And I must say that this series has completely blown my mind and well surpassed my desires of what a great book about teenage aliens should be. The drama and angst is pretty cool but as I said in the beginning Daemon is definitely the owner of my alien-loving heart therefore he will continue to be the number one reason for my love of this series. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat drew me to this series was the aliens! It's unique for a Ya series and I was excited to read it since it sounded so different. Then I immediately fell in love with Snarky Katy and how she would fight with Daemon lol and also, she's a book lover and blogger (like us!) so I loved that as well. I liked how the supernatural element was brought in and immediately had to read the sequel! ^_^ I love this series for all those reasons.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this giveaway and awesome tour!
Daemon was what drew me to the series. At first, I didn't like the books because I'm not really into aliens, but then I fell for Daemon, and if I don't get Opposition soon, my heart is going to break in millions ot tiny, little pieces.
