I want to say that this is my favorite book of the series, I really do but I can't. I don't even know if I could pick one I loved more above the other. Each book has something that makes it stand out to me above the others but when you compare them, on a whole, it's impossible. This book, it made me feel all the feels. ALL OF THEM. I am not even kidding you. Half the book I was hugging myself since I couldn't hug these characters. I feel so much for them and then it ends and I'm just shocked it's over. I didn't want it to end, ever which is weird because I was very hesitant about this book because I didn't want to read about West. Yes, this is me being greedy. I wanted Ethan and Abby (together or not, though I'd prefer them together). BUT I take back my hesitation.

This is the problem I'm having with these books, the more of them Katie writes, the more characters she introduces us to. So before reading this, after Crash Into You, I wanted (and still do) a book about Ethan, badly. I will beg for this book, I am not above resorting to this. But now, having read Take Me On, I want a Kaden and Jax book, desperately (along with an Ethan one). Do you see my problem? I would even be okay with  a joint Jax/Kaden book. Four points of views (is that too many?). I don't care, I'm not picky I just need it because I need more of them.

The back stories to both of these characters will seriously tug at your heartstrings. You already kind of know a little bit about West but there is so much here that will surprise you. So much. But meeting Haley, finding out her story and the secrets she holds is such an emotional journey. You take this journey with these characters and this is why you want to hug them every single page. If you could reach within the pages of a book to comfort characters, this is one of those books where you'd be doing a lot of that.

Surprisingly, you see a lot of Abby in this book, which I wasn't expecting at all. It was a pleasant surprise because she's such a hoot. She has absolutely no filter and says or does whatever she feels whenever she feels like it. I envy her freedom to be herself. Seeing West struggle with what's happened to Rachel is another thing you see a lot of, which I did expect this, especially since this story takes places the months between the end of Crash Into You and it's epilogue (at least, I believe it was an epilogue?).

I cannot gush enough about how much I love this book and how much I love this series. Seriously, I know I fangirled a bit when I met Katie for the first time but she is the reason that I give more contemporary a chance. Though, I lean more toward the NA contemporary side because it tends to be darker but I've given more a chance because of Katie McGarry and I have this series to thank. So thank you!
