(Beautiful Bastard #1.5)
Release Date: July 9, 2013
Publisher: Gallery Books; 160 pages
Picking up where Beautiful Bastard left off, Chloe Mills and Bennett Ryan continue their steamy, combative relationship.
Just when Chloe’s career starts to take off, Bennett wishes it would all slow down long enough to spend a wild night alone with his girlfriend. But after he refuses to take no for an answer, Chloe and Bennett find themselves with two plane tickets, one French Villa, and a surprising conversation that, predictably, leaves them wrestling under the covers.
Warning this is an adult book with adult themes. This series is not recommended for anyone under the age of eighteen.
I am gonna start this review out by saying, that I definitely read this book at the right time! After I finished Beautiful Bastard, I was very happy that I had the next book in the series the short novella, Beautiful Bitch. Being a book blogger I was actually scheduled to read something else, but since this one was so short I thought I'd squeeze it in a little early. And I am glad that I did. This was definitely what I needed at the time. Sometimes I just need a simple book, with a simple story line. It's a nice way to unwind after a long day at work. At times certain books can just be so informative, that I sometimes have to go back and re read certain parts. But not with this series. I can easily just pick it up and read.
Beautiful Bitch takes place a little bit after the end of Beautiful Bastard. Chloe and Bennett are getting ready to move to New York, and are trying to squeeze in one last vacation before the big move. But of course there are issues that get in their way of having a little *ahem* alone time. And trust me that can get anyone a little cranky. Not getting to spend time with your significant other can be very frustrating.
And can I just say I love how Bennett speaks French. There is just something about a guy speaking a foreign language that is incredibly sexy. I would probably just stare and my jaw would hang wide open, drool and swoon. Seriously Chloe, lucky bitch!
