Forgetting was only the beginning. When seventeen-year-old Sia wakes up on a park bench, she has no idea who or where she is. Yet after a week of being homeless, she’s reunited with her family. At school, she’s powerful and popular. At home, she’s wealthy beyond her dreams. But she quickly realizes her perfect life is a lie. Her family is falling apart and her friends are snobby, cruel and plastic. Worse still, she discovers she was the cruelest one. Mortified by her past, she embarks on a journey of redemption and falls for Kyle, the “geek” she once tormented. Yet all the time she wonders if, when her memories return, she’ll become the bully she was before…and if she’ll lose Kyle.

Reviews for SIA
“A compelling read full of intrigue, romance, and lots of surprises. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next!” - Jennifer Read Hawthorne, #1 New York Times bestselling author
“There have been very few books that made me think they made to someday become a movie (i.e. Warm Bodies, The Host). And I guess Sia can join the club, because this book, I say, is perfect for it. I felt like I was reading a script for a movie, the plot is fantastic and the characters are great, there's a little of humor as well as tragic situations.” - Bookish Randomness
“Well I finished this book amazingly fast. This whole book will leave you amused, intrigued, in awe, and most importantly in love with the whole story line until the very last word. I'll have to go with 5 stars for this book.” - Lovely Reads
“Beautifully written…this one will have you reflecting on your current and past actions. Although a fiction, Sia inspires.” – A Starry-eyed Heart Review
There are so many many things I want to say about this book. First off, the cover. The cover is simply gorgeous! This drew me in right away and I had to know what this book was about. Bravo on the cover! Second, the story. When I read the blurb for this book, I thought it was such an interesting and different idea. Memory loss stories can get kind of corny, but this one had an awesome message behind it.
The story starts out with Sia waking up on a park bench, wearing her running clothes and having absolutely no idea who she is, other then the fact that her ipod says Sia's ipod. Right then the story takes off, it doesn't take more then a few pages, maybe a chapter before Sia finds herself on the streets. It is a face pace ride, and you cannot put this book down. I only get to read at night after my son goes to bed and I'm all finished with all the stuff I have to do, so reading for me takes a very long time. 3 nights was all this took. I honestly would have finished the first night if I didn't have to get up. I never wanted to put this book down.
Once Sia comes home and is reminded of the kind of person she was, she almost cannot believe it. She was such a horrible bully, and the fact that now she now wants nothing to do with that girl, the people around her are having a hard time accepting it. Her parents seem to LOVE the change, but her friends cannot handle it and her new interest Kyle, who she previously bullied, refuses to believe it, but tries.
The message that this book sends is amazing. Never take people for granted, try to understand what others are going through and realize that family is the most important thing. I finished this book crying like a little baby. This book left me with such an amazing feeling and made me want to become a better person. Who can say that about a fiction novel? Simply amazing.
