(Judgement of the Six: Book 1)
Release Date: March 5, 2013
Publisher: Smashwords; 352 pages
Our world is being judged and we remain unaware. In a world filled with people, Gabby is uniquely alone. The tiny glowing sparks filling her mind, representing the people around her, confirm it. Clueless regarding the reason behind her sight and her place in the world, Gabby struggles to find an explanation. A chance encounter leads her closer to answers she's struggled to find, and into a hidden society where fur is optional. An introduction sends her running back home without the answers she wants - and not quite alone. Gabby tries to ignore Clay, the werewolf delusional enough to follow her home thinking he has a chance with her, while continuing to search for answers on her own. Her problems compound when other werewolves, ones with abnormal sparks, start stalking her. Instead of gaining answers, her list of questions is growing. When she finds the answers, her life will never be the same.

I received this book as a review request from the author, and I was happy to oblige. This book fit right in my alley of books I tend to read, so I couldn't wait to read it and be able to review it!
I really did enjoy this book. It seemed to move very fast in the beginning, we meet Gabby, but then everything that happens in the first few chapters seems to fly by. Not that it is a bad thing, but maybe it could be slowed down just a bit. One day she is here the next hour somewhere else. But with that out of the way, Gabby learns a lot of information very fast. I liked the connection she and Sam had right away. It seemed like a relationship Gabby was needing in her life.
I loved the neat twist with Gabby seeing lights in her head that represent people. When she meets Sam, she notices his light is different, and then learns why because he is a werewolf. But then we are jumping to them moving away and her being prepped for werewolf introductions and she seems to be one of a few humans compatible with werewolves. Gabby seems to be in the clear then she meats a rouge werewolf, Clay. Let me tell you, I loved Clay as soon as Gabby met him. But before Gabby claims any werewolf, she wants a chance at school. I loved when she finally got settle, and here comes Clay the dog. The relationship that build between Gabby and Clay is subtle but I loved it. I was waiting for the moment she would realize that Clay is her true mate.
Throughout this time, there is no mentions of Gabby's power to see lights in her head. It comes back into focus towards the end of the book, but I felt like it was a lost concept in the middle of the book, which is why I didn't give this a full 5 star rating, but other then that, I loved Gabby and Clay's story very much. I will more then likely read the rest of these books, but I loved Clay and Gabby sop much, it'll be hard not to read about them again!
