Oh Roar, how I love thee.
This was a cute, short story showing us how precious Roar's relationship with Perry's sister, Liv, really was. But not only do we see, first hand, how much Roar truly did love Liv but we also saw how much love was there between Roar and Perry.
Absolutely, hands down, my favorite scene between these two 'brothers' was when they were on their journey and Roar gave Perry the genius idea of how he could be of great service to his older brother and blood lord, Vale. Oh man, did that have me rolling in laughter! These two are just so amazing together.
But they were the focal point of the story, that was Liv. How they became friends is absolutely adorable and precious. Oh, how being so young makes things incredibly easy. They've had ten years to build on their relationship so you can only imagine how strong and true it really is.
However, I do highly recommend reading this novella before you read Through the Ever Night. I made the mistake of reading if afterward and well...I don't recommend it...
