You'll have to forgive me ahead of time. This is probably going to be a lengthy review and probably will consist of a few fan girl moments. Anyone who knows me knows how much of an Iron Fey fan I am. So you can only imagine how badly I've been waiting for this book. Continue reading and you'll see just how bad!

I just finished this book and I can't even...so many emotions going through me. First off, I am a die hard Puck fan. Judge me if you want but I seriously am absolutely whole-heartedly in love with him.  He does make a few appearances in The Lost Prince and I do believe I fan girled. I squealed and fist pumped at the first mention of him, well not the first mention but of his first appearance. I'm so glad I was alone because just writing about it, I'm embarrassed. If another human being would've seen me, I possibly would have died.

If you haven't read the Iron Fey series, I don't recommend reading this until you do. It's like like an Iron Fey reunion and oh my gosh, I need more. You've got Grimalkin, Meghan, Ash, Puck, Glitch, Razor, oh man...so many more that I can't even think of right now. One especially important person who makes a small apperance in the Iron Knight. I was extremely excited to see this person...

Ethan Chase gets mixed up with the doings of Nevernever once again, though this time they didn't necessarily come looking for him, he just got mixed up in them due to a half-breed friend of his, Todd. His 'partner in crime' in this book meshes so well with him, it makes my jaw hurt from smiling so much. Puck even says these two people remind him of a certain pair long ago...you hear that Ice-boy?

I will be honest, it takes a good quarter of the book until you get back in to Nevernever and I'm not sure if you're like me, but I was overeager to get back. So the first bit seemed a tad slow but just because I'm impatient like that. The first signed of someone familiar had me up, doing a happy dance. (No really, it did...it wasn't pretty, trust me)

The reunion between Ethan and his older sister whom he hasn't seen in years is exactly as it's expected; filled with a lot of mixed emotions. Ethan is certainly one who holds grudges, not that I can particularly blame him. I probably would be holding the exact same grudges he's holding. Her actual appearance in this book is very short but he presence carries throughout the entire novel, and I really like that. It's obviously the biggest tie between the two series.

I wish I could talk more about their actual adventures but I cannot say much without giving something huge away, so I shall refrain from that. Just know, it's filled with awesome and you want to own this book.

I am still fangirling over this book. I don't know but this may be my favorite out of the series. Maybe because we all thought the Iron Fey series was over, so I accepted the fact that Puck would never return to me but alas, Julie pulled a fast one on us all and said "FOOLED YOU"! For you Team Ash girls out there, I respect ya, don't worry, I do. I like him and I know he was the right fit for Meghan but for my taste, he was just too boring. However, I do not know which team of new characters I am on. I may be on Team Kenzie. This girl is seriously cooler than cool. She's brave from the first time we meet her until the very last page. We find out some gut-wrenching news about her that makes us just want to do a group hug with her.

If you are looking for a romance filled YA novel, this is not for you. There is hardly any kissing in this book but it is not needed. Shocking coming from me, right? But it's not. There were a few times when you thought OH this could be it but alas, it twas not. But that's OK because there's enough humor, wit and action to leave you satisfied. If you are a fan of Julie's and especially a fan of her Iron Fey series, you will not want to miss this addition! Ethan is all grown up and frankly, he's sexy as hell.
