Zara and Nick are soul mates, meant to be together forever. But that's not quite how things have worked out. For starters, well, Nick is dead. Supposedly, he's been taken to a mythic place for warriors known as Valhalla, so Zara and her friends might be able to get him back. But it's taking time, and meanwhile a group of evil pixies is devastating Bedford, with more teens going missing every day. An all-out war seems imminent, and the good guys need all the warriors they can find. But how to get to Valhalla? And even if Zara and her friends discover the way, there's that other small problem: Zara's been pixie kissed. When she finds Nick, will he even want to go with her? Especially since she hasn't turned into just any pixie. . . She's Astley's queen.

I really enjoyed ENTICE. My biggest issue with it is the fact that everything she does is for Nick. She's Astley's queen and it's quite obvious that he actually likes her but yet, he still helps her find a way to get back Nick. That has to say something on what kind of a 'person' he truly is. She once believed all pixies were bad but not that she is one, she has to realize that theory has gone straight out the window. Though, it doesn't help that there are evil, hate-filled pixies destroying this small town in Maine. The amount of boys going missing is insane that it's grabbing national attention.
This book is filled with many twists and turns on her voyage to return Nick back to earth, so they can be together. When you think about it, it truly is selfish of her but I do believe he is needed more down on earth than up in Valhalla. Not only is there a lot to overcome in ENTICE but there is also death. Death that will tug at your heart strings. Death of characters you've come to like are never an easy thing to read, I can only imagine how it must be to write.
I cannot wait to dive in to ENDURE, the final book in the Need series. Many books with love triangles, there are always teams. Those who want the protangist to end up with one or the other. I am fully behind Astley in this series. So, not only am I eager to see how this war will turn out but also who she'll decide to go with. She is, afterall, already someone's Queen... ;)
If you're looking for a fun, easy read, this is definitely your series. They're relatively short, entertaining reads.
