Sixteen year old Julia Phillips buries herself in guilt after killing her best friend Monica in a car accident. Julia awoke in the hospital with a broken leg, a new talent for drawing and false memories of the accident, in which she dies and Monica lives. The doctors attribute this to her head injury, but no one can explain how a bracelet engraved with her name ended up at the scene of the accident. A bracelet no one has ever seen before.

Classmate Evan Whittaker paid Julia no attention before the accident, let alone after. Now suddenly he’s volunteering to tutor her and offering to drive her home. She can't ignore that his new obsession started after his two-day disappearance last week and that he wears a pendant she’s been drawing for months. When the police show up one night looking for Evan, he begs Julia to run with him, convincing her that Monica is still alive. Julia agrees to go, never guessing where he’s really from.

The premise of this book had me instantly intrigued and I knew this would be a book that I would like. When I started reading it, I was instantly hooked. I have to say the prolouge confused me a bit but it makes sense later on. The guilt Julia feels for killing her best friend is heartbreaking and the sudden intrest Evan has in Julia keeps you wanting to read more and more.

When Julia finally gives in and lets Evan in, it is such a enthralling love story, you cannot put this book down. He seems to be so much in love with Julia, it almost starts to make you think what is really going on here? Then we briefly meet a guy named Reece, and you read about how Evan does not like him, but you can't figure out why. The further into the story it goes, I have to say the weirder it gets. But not in a bad way, just different. The prolouge to this story starts to make sense in the middle of this book.

*highlight to view spoiler* When Evan starts talking about a world where Monica is alive, and he can take Julia to her it starts to almost take on this futuristic theme. Then when the police are all of a sudden looking for Evan, and Julia finds him and he asks her if she will come with him, to his world, the book totally changes. They end up traveling to Evan's world, where they are greeted by people in white hazmat suits and thrown into this weird while sterile room and weird stuff seems to be happening. This took me off guard and was completely different then the rest of the book I had been reading. I read through it hoping it would all come together for me and it did. *spoiler*

Jumping from how this book started to how the middle was definitely was a big jump, but it did work and the love story/triangle this book creates is one you cannot stop thinking about! This story leaves you with so many questions, that you cannot wait to find out the answers to.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series, There. This was a awesome ride and I am so glad I got to read this book and I hope you all check it out!!
