Publisher: Harper Teen; 400 pages

On the night of Skye’s seventeenth birthday, she meets two enigmatic strangers. Complete opposites—like fire and ice—Asher is dark and wild, while Devin is fair and aloof. Their sudden appearance sends Skye’s life into a tailspin. She has no idea what they want, or why they seem to follow her every move—only that their presence coincides with a flurry of strange events. Soon she begins to doubt not just the identity of the two boys, but also the truth about her own past.

In the dead of a bitingly cold Colorado winter, Skye finds herself coming to terms with the impossible secret that threatens to shatter her world. Torn between Asher, who she can’t help falling for, and Devin, who she can’t stay away from, the consequences of Skye’s choice will reach further than the three of them could ever imagine.

This book was amazing and it flowed extremely well. It starts out with her birthday party and you immediately find yourself drawn to the characters, especially Cassie and Dan, for me. Then we get introduced to two boys fighting and you know you'll be seeing more of them. You find yourself wanting to find out more about them.

Just like most stories, they are meant to represent 'good and evil' though I think evil is taking a bit far. Light and Dark, as you can see just in their appearance alone. The Guardian, Devin, is safe; makes Skye feel calm and relaxed anytime she spends any amount of time with him, alone. But she really finds herself feeling attracted to Asher, the Rebel, the one who doesn't like rules and never follows them. Two guys, two love interests who I actually loved both of them (though, I found myself favoring Devin over Asher...).

It's an Angel story, however, its not like your typical angels and fallen angels. I think that what made this book stand out from the rest of the angel/fallen angel books I've read (I have a thing for angels, so I've read a lot of them). You can say, the Guardians are like a guardian angel and the Rebels are like the fallen angels...but they're really not. I'd rather not explain it; I'd rather you read this book and find out for yourself.

The ending...oh the ending. It's not the worst cliffhanger I've come across but you want to know what happens but we're made to wait. Waiting is such a cruel thing...

I highly recommend this book. Its a debut author and she does an amazing job with her first novel. Angel books are one of my favorites (along with werewolves). If you like YA and Supernatural books, you'll love this... guaranteed!
